Levitra (Vardenafil) 100mg
Levitra is a brand name for vardenafil, a type of phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor drug that is used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men.
Vardenafil works by relaxing the blood vessels in the penis and increasing the blood flow to the erectile tissue, resulting in an erection when sexually stimulated
Dosge
The usual dose of Levitra for adults is 10 mg taken as needed, about 25 to 60 minutes before sexual activity. The dose may be increased to 20 mg or decreased to 5 mg depending on the effectiveness and tolerance. The maximum daily dose is 20 mg.
Levitra should be taken with or without food, but preferably not with a high-fat meal, as it may delay the onset of action. It should not be taken more than once a day. It should not be combined with other PDE5 inhibitors, such as sildenafil (Viagra) or tadalafil (Cialis), as it may cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure.
Side Effects
Levitra may cause some side effects, such as headache, flushing, nasal congestion, indigestion, dizziness, back pain, vision changes, and priapism (a prolonged and painful erection that lasts more than 4 hours). Some of these side effects may be more severe in elderly or debilitated patients.
