Roxicet (Oxycodone & Acetaminophen) 10/650mg
Roxicet is a brand name for a combination of oxycodone and acetaminophen, two pain relievers that are used to treat moderate to severe pain. Oxycodone is an opioid analgesic that works by binding to the opioid receptors in the brain and spinal cord, blocking the transmission of pain signals and producing a euphoric effect. Acetaminophen is a non-opioid analgesic that works by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are substances that cause inflammation and pain.
The dosage of Roxicet tablets depends on the individual’s pain severity, medical condition, and response to the drug. The usual dose is one tablet every 4 to 6 hours as needed, with a maximum of 12 tablets per day. Roxicet tablets should be taken with a full glass of water and swallowed whole, not crushed or chewed.
